Smooth and creamy

Here I share a delicious, classic recipe with few ingredients and very easy to make. It’s an egg flan with condensed milk and a touch of vanilla, very creamy and smooth, it melts in your mouth 😋🤤

I must confess that I enjoyed every single spoonful 🤤😋😍💛

Ingredients: Flan

  • 🥚6 eggs
  • 🍶480ml condensed milk
  • 🥛1l whole milk
  • 🥄1 tsp vanilla essence

Ingredients: Caramel

  • 🍭150g sugar
  • 💧6 tbsp water
  • 🥄1 tbsp lemon juice

Ingredients: Whipped cream for decoration (optional)

  • 🍦100ml whipping cream or vegetable cream
  • 🍬1 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 🥄Vanilla essence (to taste)

Elaboration: Caramel

  • 🍬Place the sugar, water and lemon juice in a saucepan
  • 🍬Cook over medium heat until a thick, golden caramel forms

Elaboration: Flan

  • 🍮Place all the flan ingredients in a bowl and mix. Strain to remove any egg parts that didn’t dissolve well (optional)
  • 🍮Pour the mixture into the previously caramelized mold
  • 🍮Bake in a water bath at 170ºC for 1:15h

  • 🍮Let it cool completely
  • 🍮Store in the refrigerator until the next day and unmold

Notes

  1. ✏️Caramel burns very easily. Once it starts to color, you must keep a close eye on it so it doesn’t burn. If it burns, it will add a bitter taste
  2. ✏️The mold I used is 24cm. If you want a taller flan, you can use a smaller mold or a 20cm flan mold
  3. ✏️You can make the flan lactose-free by replacing the lactose-containing ingredients with their lactose-free versions
